Software development & automation

I automate the tasks that cost your team time every day.

Typing up timesheets, copying data from one program to the next, filling in forms by hand: I build software that takes this tedious work off your team, from trades businesses to mid-sized companies.

01 Services

What I build for you.

In many businesses a surprising amount still runs on manual work: typing data out of emails, reconciling lists between systems, clicking together the same report every month. It costs time, causes errors and ties up people who have more important things to do.

  1. 01

    Automate processes

Recurring tasks take care of themselves: importing and checking data, generating documents, sending notifications. Where it makes sense with AI too, for example to read emails, PDFs or receipts.

    • Paperwork & forms
    • Documents & reports
    • AI-assisted data capture
  2. 02

    Connect systems

Your software talks to each other instead of someone copying data back and forth: ERP, online shop, CRM, accounting or your own databases. Backed by experience developing for Microsoft Dynamics 365.

    • ERP integrations
    • REST APIs & webhooks
    • Data import & export
  3. 03

    Custom software

When off-the-shelf software doesn’t fit: web applications, internal tools, customer portals and apps, from the first idea to secure operation in the cloud.

    • Web apps & portals
    • iOS & Android apps
    • Hosting on Azure

02 Examples

Less paperwork, more evenings off.

In trades businesses and small companies especially, a lot of work gets stuck on notes, lists and forms, often after hours. Much of it can be digitised and automated without your team having to change the way they work completely.

Sound familiar?

  • Timesheets, measurements or job reports are written on paper and typed up in the office.
  • The same customer data lives in several programs and spreadsheets.
  • Quotes, invoices or reports are made by hand, every single time.
  • Receipts and emails are sorted, filed and forwarded manually.
  • Only one person knows how an important process actually works.

What can be automated, for example

  • Trades

    Digital timesheets

Your team records hours, materials and photos right on their phone. The office receives finished data, ready for invoicing and payroll.

  • Trades

    From measurement to quote

Capture measurements and line items on site and turn them into a draft quote or invoice automatically.

  • Documentation

Reports at the push of a button

Handover, maintenance or inspection reports as a finished PDF with photos and signature, right at the customer’s site.

  • Office

    Read receipts with AI

Incoming invoices and delivery notes are recognised, read and passed on to bookkeeping or your tax advisor.

  • Systems

    Data without retyping

Orders from your online shop, email or web form land automatically in your inventory system, CRM or calendar.

  • Admin

    Reports that write themselves

Monthly and project reports are generated automatically from data you already have.

Every business is different. Often a small solution that takes away one tedious step is already enough.

What it’s worth: three example calculations

The maths is deliberately simple: time that goes into manual work today, multiplied by the internal cost of an hour of work.

  • Trades

    Typing up timesheets

    Today
10 fitters hand in a paper timesheet every day. The office needs about 4 minutes per sheet to type it up and check it.
    Automated
Hours arrive digitally from the phone and only need approving, about 30 seconds per sheet.

    ≈ €5,100per year · ≈ 128 hours saved

  • Office

    Entering incoming invoices

    Today
150 receipts a month are copied into bookkeeping by hand, about 3 minutes each.
    Automated
AI reads the receipts and the office only checks them, about 30 seconds per receipt.

    ≈ €3,000per year · ≈ 75 hours saved

  • Systems

    Transferring shop orders

    Today
20 orders a day are typed into the inventory system, about 3 minutes each.
    Automated
An integration transfers the orders and only special cases stay manual, about 15 seconds per order.

    ≈ €8,100per year · ≈ 202 hours saved

Assumptions: €40 internal cost per office hour, 220 working days a year. Against this stands the cost of building the solution, which you get as a clear figure up front. That way you know in advance when a solution pays off for you.

Run your own numbers

Possible savings

€9,900

per year · ≈ 248hours

The calculator runs only in your browser; nothing is stored or sent.

Example calculations with assumed values, not a promise. I’m happy to estimate what it would mean for you based on your real processes.

How we work together

  1. 1Enquiry

You briefly describe in the form what feels cumbersome. A few sentences are enough.

  2. 2Assessment

I get back to you with a first idea of how it could be simpler, and we talk through the details.

  3. 3Build

I work in small steps, so you have something usable early and can shape it as we go.

  4. 4Run

If you like, I take care of maintenance, changes and support afterwards.

03 Work

My own products, so you can see how I work: from concept through backend and cloud to the app in the store.

Randalo

Events & community app

Beta · live in the stores

Your people. Your city. Your night.

Randalo is an events and community app: find events nearby or create your own, plan in the group chat, split costs, run tournaments, and collect everyone’s photos in one shared gallery afterwards.

My part

I co-founded Randalo and am one of its three managing directors. On the technical side I own the platform end to end: the architecture and .NET backend, the Azure infrastructure and CI/CD, and the web front ends. I also work on the Flutter app.

04 About

Between ERP and the App Store.

I grew up in the Oldenburger Münsterland in northern Germany and study business informatics at FOM in Münster on a work-study programme. At GWS I have been building with C#, .NET and X++ for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations since 2023, the ERP system companies use to run purchasing, warehousing and finance. Every day I see where processes get stuck, and how much difference good software makes.

Through my company, Christopher Leson UG, I deliver software and automation projects for businesses. Alongside that I build my own products: Randalo with two co-founders, and open-source tools like mediagen.

What still feels cumbersome?

Briefly describe where things get stuck or what you have in mind. You don’t need a finished plan: a sentence like “someone types up our timesheets every Friday” is plenty. I’ll get back to you with a first idea of how it could be simpler.

Prefer to write directly?

What is it about? (optional)

For example: our fitters write timesheets on paper, and on Fridays someone in the office types them up.

In case you’d rather get a call.
